I might be a little scarce around here for a couple of month's. Going to work an outage at a local powerhouse at probably until the end of April. That means at least 6days a week. I will check in when I can.

Just changed my Avatar again. Newest pic of the Grandson taken over the weekend. Cannot believe in 4 months ( JULY ) he is already gonna be 3 years old     I am getting too old too fast      He is getting more smart and already trying to get me in trouble with the wife every weekend we have him over. He sits with me in my recliner in our den watching all sports with me ( he`s even gotten me to start watching NASCAR ) because he loves it. The problem is he sees me drinking my beer and keeps going to his NANA and saying I want to try what Grandpa has.She wants to kill me with my old baseball bat.Start them young I say but I do not think I will live to see him grow up

Anyone checked out the new series Naked & Afraid it's a survival thing i checked it out yesterday out of boredom , NASCAR was under a rain delay      it's not bad if your into that kinda thing .

Through the years I ve been naked many time, but NEVER afraid. Looking back, I m not sure I can say that for the LADY ??? I was with !!!

Shooting at Fort Hood: What We Know So Far


This story is developing...

There has been a shooting at Fort Hood military base in Killeen, Texas — the site of a November 2009 mass murder that claimed 13 lives.

The shooter is at large. There are reportedly several injuries from the shooting.

My youngest son is at this base right NOW !  He just rotated back to the states from Afghanistan !

No way to contact him , he's a MP, also going through debriefing  !

Thanks guy's , i just talked to him on the phone , he really couldnt say much about what happened , but he goes in for his psych-val in the morning and should be home Monday , 60 day leave , then return to his station .....   

Oh , he was in the building straight across the street from the shootings .

Soooooooooooooo Glad CHIT to hear the Son is safe   I just cannot understand how after what took place there at Fort Hood 5 years ago there where not more stronger safe guards put in place to keep weapons off the base through much tougher screening procedures.In my humble opinion after seeing this soldier on soldier crime once again why in GODS NAME are only the military police on a base able to carry weapons      If all these military personnel are able to carry weapons in the field of battle helping to protect us overseas and on the homeland why can their not carry them also on a military base. If these suicidal crazy shooters of these killings knew ahead of time that other military personnel had weapons they would probably think twice about trying something like this.Once again just my opinion.

The high school, Franklin Regional, which was in the national news today with the stabbing of 20 people is less than 20 miles from here. My son dates a girl who graduated from there. Once again; senseless violence.  This time a little too close to home.  

I think the entire country needs to take a step back and see where we the adults or government are screwing up with raising all our young .....seem's to me it's a lack of discipline and morals and to much government in all aspects of our lives .

Another shooting

Fatal shooting at Overland Park Jewish Community Center

Courtesy, KMBC:

Police said they are investigating fatal shootings at the Overland Park Jewish Community Center and at an assisted living center several blocks south.

Police said one person was killed at the Jewish Community Center at 5800 W. 115th Street and another was killed at Village Shalom, an assisted living facility at 123rd Street and Nall.

Investigators said the entire Jewish Community Center campus has been placed on lockdown while police search the area.

Police were examining a truck in the Jewish Community Center parking lot that had shattered windows.

Police offered no information on either of the victims in the shootings.

I've been having fun all day working on my daughters 2007 Dodge Caliber , had to replace both front struts , driver side & passenger side lower control arm bushings (front and back) and lower ball joints both sides , driver side tie rod ends inside & outside ,plus brake rotors for both side , wheel barrings inside and outside and brake pads all around , changed the oil and transmission fluid with new filters .....      ....  ... it's time for a Toddy For The BODY......

GUY'S where did spring go ........it's already 74 here now and going into the low 80's today !   

Barely in the upper 50's here. Spring makes an appearance for a day and then we are back to below freezing at night.

Not that I am in any hurry for the muggies.
