"This is incredible," said the first man."Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event in the world and not use it?"
The second man replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This will be the first Super bowl we haven't been together since 1967."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat? "
The man shook his head. "No, they're all at her funeral."

Re: LETS TALK FOOTBALL
OK Boys here it is THE !! It s all about Flacco . It is his time. He is on a roll in the playoffs, 8 TDS NO INTERTCEPTIONS. The 9 ers got no pass rush from their front four last week were reluctant to blitz, and let Matty Ice put up 396 yrds, and 3 TDS ! Imagine what Flacco will do. One fear is the speed of the 9 ers receivers and backs vs the Ravens linebackers and DB S.
I see it Ravens SU, + 3 1/2, and over 48.
31-21 !!

The 49ERS stay perfect in SUPER BOWL WINS #6 is on the way ........

Okay guys I`ve been waiting in the wings nice and quiet for the past 2 weeks ( still coming out of mourning my loss in the AFC Championship ) I got the 34 17 I think that Baltimore cannot stop Kaepernick and will be so focused on stopping him and Frank Gore that they will over look the one Dark Horse in this game I believe will have a big impact on the outside. Randy Moss comes up big and finally gets his Super Bowl Ring and of course I could very well already be 48 hours away from kick off

Hoping the 6th ranked running back of all time gets his call to the Hall! If not today, soon The Bus, Jerome Bettis, will make his last stop----Canton!!!
I would say at least 10 of the 15 deserve to be called today; but they can only pick 5!

Re: LETS TALK FOOTBALL
Well it's Super Bowl Sunday, finally and sadly! I was thinking earlier about how many Super Bowl's I've watched now; and came to the conclusion that I'm getting old! First one I remember watching is VI, Dolphins and Cowboys. Not as excited as I was the 8 times my Steelers have played in this game, but looking forward to what should be a great matchup! Commercials should be interesting, but not that hyped up about the Beyonce as the halftime show! Although she's much better looking the Bruce; nothing will match the year Springsteen did halftime! Enjoy the game everyone!

Why did you have to go there SPORTS ........now you got me thinking ......holy SHHHIIIIIITTTTTT i've watched them all including the first one ....... ...... you think your old .......i remember when there was just the AFC and NFC championship games ........... no Super Bowl........
On this day in 1967, at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Green Bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the first-ever world championship game of American football.
In the mid-1960s, the intense competition for players and fans between the National Football League (NFL) and the upstart American Football League (AFL) led to talks of a possible merger. It was decided that the winners of each league's championship would meet each year in a single game to determine the "world champion of football."

Well nuttin's right and I want to PUKE! Other than that what a great game. Really thought the Niners were going to pull it out. Guess that wasn't in the NFL's script!
Expect the Steelers @ Ravens to start next season.

Don't think the Steelers will be there for a while. Major changes coming. Expect alot of big names to be missing come next year, both to get younger and solve cap problems. Expect a lot less big name on defense.nuttin2lose wrote:Ho Hum nutty calls em all , SU + 4 and over 49 !! and NO that wasn t holding in the end zone.

Re: LETS TALK FOOTBALL
On ot National signing day tomorrow, looks like another huge day for the Tide. Penn State has a pretty good class despite the limits the NCAA sanctions. (25th on ESPN rankings)
Looks like the Paterno family is going to go after the NCAA with a law suit based on what they think on big inaccuracies in the Freeh report. Guess Sue, Joe's widow, is doing an interview with Katie Couric next week. I, along with alot of Penn Staters(Not named Franco Harris) just want to move forward and get through this; but I can't blame the family. Enough said.

Another typical recruiting class for Oregon, top 20 nationally, third in the P12, feel sorry for the Ducks they never get any good players
Seriously, this class looks very good better than when Coach Kelly left, I'm happy with it.

When healthy, Troy is still great. Problem is sometimes a team built on defensive STARS doesn't work. Too much of the cap has gone to older defensive players. Time to get much younger on defense and build an offense aroud Big Ben!nuttin2lose wrote:HATE to say it Bud, but it may be the end of the road for Troy. Next stop HOF !!

Re: LETS TALK FOOTBALL
None will ever play football for Alabama , and it looks like 3 if not all 4 will be expelled from the school all together, football or any other sports matters not , the Administration and Alumni at Alabama will not tolerate this kinda behavior !
It wasn't that long ago (8 - 10 years ago ) a guy on the wrestling team was kicked off campus and expelled for punching a hole in a door and denting a locker door in one of the dorms !
These guy's beat and robbed some students , can you imagine what the Alumni have already said .......
So i'm very sure they can all say BYE - BYE to attending school at ALABAMA !

Alabama opens spring practice
Freshman Derrick Henry, a 245-pound tailback who enrolled in January, could be in line to share the load with the departure of Lacy, the BCS championship game MVP, who replaced Cleveland Browns tailback Trent Richardson. He has already made an impression on teammates.
"We were talking about it on the sideline, me and a couple of the players, how Henry looked like a bigger version of Trent Richardson," Mosley said. "But you have to do what you have to do. So we've got to make him better and he's got to make us better. He came in and killed the first quarter program. So I'm excited to see what he's gonna do when we start our first scrimmage."

Alabama and Wisconsin to Open 2015 Season at Cowboys Stadium
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team will face Wisconsin to open the 2015 season at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The "Cowboys Stadium Classic" is scheduled for September 5, 2015, with television network coverage and kickoff time to be determined at a later date.
Under head coach Nick Saban, UA has played in four previous neutral site regular season games and has two more on the schedule over the next two years. The Tide played Florida State in Jacksonville in 2007 as well as Clemson (2008) and Virginia Tech (2009) in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff in Atlanta. UA opened the 2012 campaign with a 42-14 win over Michigan in Arlington. Alabama will begin the 2013 season in Atlanta with a matchup against Virginia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff and again in 2014 against West Virginia.

Chit, the sooner the better for a UO vs UA match-up, maybe Jan. 6th 2014 at the Rose Bowl?
If Bama's looking for a home and home I think there's a good chance of it happening. I haven't had season tickets for five years but there is nothing that would keep me away from that game.
Here's a link to Oregon's future OOC schedule for the next nine years I'm sure something can be worked out...

RB Derrick Henry has broken leg
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama Crimson Tide tailback Derrick Henry, the No.1-rated athlete in the ESPN 150 in 2013 and the Crimson Tide's top-ranked signee, is out for the remainder of spring practice with a fractured tibia he suffered during Saturday's scrimmage, according to his high school coach Bobby Ramsay.
The 6-foot-3, 238-pound early enrollee set the high school career rushing record at Yulee (Fla.) High in November, surpassing Ken Hall's previous mark of 11,232 yards.
He was one of seven freshman to begin school at Alabama in January.
