In the famous words of Sportnuts Steelers QB ( Kordell Stewart ) some years back after losing the AFC Championship in Pittsburgh to the " The Better Team Did Not Win This Game " I`ll give props to the RAVENS in the fact they shut out my PATS in the 2nd half. I never in a million years would have seen any team puting up a giant GOOSE EGG 0 points against that offense. Watching Super Bowl Highlight marathon on NFL Network. Caught the Steelers of the 70's last night. Can never see them too many times. Sad part in hindsight is how many helmet-to-helmet hits I saw in the games of the 70's and 80's.

Thanks Sports love watching these. May wait until 10 30 tho. 10 O Clock is the Ravens whooping my 34-7. NEVER want to see THAT game again !!

Rumor is Oregon has interviewed AZ Cards DL coach Ron Aiken this weekend, Oregon really wants him, we'll see if he wants to come back to college. I think he would be a great hire.

I am not talking about just Brady but all other big name players that every year after being selected to the pro bowl always seem to pull out with just a hang nail ..... I know that ELI has gotten BRADY twice in the big game but the last time I looked Brady still has 3 rings to Eli`s 2 and did it with less talent then Eli has had on offense. Even you NUTTIN would have to admit without 2 of the most miracle catches in SUPER BOWL history by your that Brady and the would have had 5 titles in the last 12 years. History cannot be changed, your G-MEN did my guys twice and that is fact. The thing that still eats at me is when people say the have not won another title since spygate, which is true but show me one other team that has been to the playoffs every year ( except 2008 when Brady went down with a torn acl ) and they still finished with a 11-5 record and have still kept winning. Spygate was long ago and the last time I checked the game still had to be played on a field with 22 guys on both sides of the ball and no matter how many pictures where taken or not taken once the ball is snapped those pictures cannot be put into the heads of players on the field.

My rant is over and just sorry that there is only 1 more football game to be played until August and preseason

I would but ,your only allowed 1 deer in velvet every 7 years down here , also season is only 2 weeks long every 3 years , out of all my years of hunting (43) i have only seen 2 deer in velvet and they were out of season at the time....so needless to say very hard to find!

....... most of the time the antler has fallen off when it is found , all deer go through this process every year , but it is in very early fall before the gun season really opens , you can bow hurt year round here in Florida and on privet land in Alabama, most if not all of the antler's that are in velvet that are found are on deer farms or privet hunting lodges where they raise the deer and charge you to go hunting on their land.These places are all over the country . It's really hard to find one in velvet in the wild after the deer season opens!

Antler growth in deer really is phenomenal! In fact, deer antlers are among the fastest growing tissues in the animal kingdom, growing as much as 1/2-inch per day during peak antler growth. Of course, the amount of antler material a buck grows depends upon nutrition, genetics, and age.

Actively growing antlers are covered with a living tissue called velvet, because it really looks and feels like velvet material. During antler development, a buck’s antlers are both extremely delicate and sensitive to the touch. Even though bucks are not aggressive towards each other during the antler growing period, this is still the time when most antler damage occurs.
White-tailed deer antler growth usually begins during the month of March or April, and by August or early September antler growth has ceased. And an interesting fact: In most cases typical deer antlers begin growing out a buck’s head in a backward motion, then quickly change direction and sweep forward as we commonly know.

So how long does it take for a buck to form hardened antlers? The following photos illustrate antler growth for a single white-tailed buck in Texas from March through September.

Coach Aiken is now the newest member of the Oregon staff !!! Hope he's got a handful of plane tickets and is out on the recruiting trail. Coach Helfrich has made two great hires, time to bring in the players less than one week till NSD.
