Let`s Talk Women In Sports
Okay Guys I already know that all of you will probably call me crazy for bringing up this thread..... But I just wanna say that I really believe it is time to start giving the sports women of this country/world some full time appreciation...... I am going on record as saying that for 3 weeks in late June through early July I watched every single game of the women`s World Cup soccer tournament and enjoyed it 100%....Little known fact came out last week that the U.S.A./Japan World Cup Title game drew more than 25 million viewers...... That was more then any N.B.A. Game 7`s or N.H.L. Game 7`s or even M.L.B. World Series Game 7`s in history...... Then I just finished watching 4 days of some of the best Golf I have ever watched with the Women`s U.S. Open...... I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to SPORTNUTS state of Pennsylvania for setting a all time attendance record of more then 135,000 people for a four day golf tournament ( mens or womens ) This Women`s U.S. Open was held in Lancaster,PA. I know Sportsnut is from Latrobe,PA ( Would like to know just how close his home town was from this record setting accomplishment.... I believe it is finally time to give the world of women`s sports a GOOD HARD LOOK AT

I watched a good bit of the women's world cup! Very exciting even for a guy who really doesn't like soccer. Have to admit I usually don't watch a lot of women's sports, only because there are so many choices these days as far as sports on TV. Talking about women sports, Serena Williams might be one of the greatest woman athletes of all time.
To answer your question Jos, Lancaster is on the other side of the state, right outside Philadelphia. I live about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh.
