Alabama vs Clemson ..... i have to admit here this game had me worried before Saban fired Kiffin .....now with Sarkisian i really dont know what to expect .....but i still have faith in the Alabama players and Saban ....so here's my pick for the National Championship Game...

Sorry Sports man-o-man what a way to lose a game , but they played with a lot of heart and without a doubt represented the BIG10 better than OHIO ST did !

25-16 on my bowl picks. Not bad! Still very proud of Penn State. Sucks the way they lost. But that's the way Trace McSorely has been playing all year. He's a gunslinger. USC just had a few better athletes. What a Rose Bowl! And man oh man does the future look bright in Happy Valley! Picked Alabama to win it all.
Had a 12-4 week 17 on NFL picks. Gearing up for Wild Card weekend. Hope it's nice and cold at Heinz Field Sunday for the boys from South Beach! Picks coming soon!

Hey guys I finished my college bowl picks  21-20. I got Clemson right for the final but was way wrong about Washington over Alabama. Like Chit has said with Saban firing Kiffin I think this turns this whole Championship Game into a 50/50 outcome. I am probably gonna be wrong again like I was with my Washington pick but I think the loss of Kiffin and the fact that last years match-up in this same game was so very close just have  give the edge to Clemson this time around.

As far as the NFL I went 12-4 last week.......

On a side note I got very lucky this year. I have been involved in a NFL picks pool that 2 of my best friends have been running on CBSSPORTS.COM for the last 10 years that only a number of players are ever given invites to join. It has consisted of making picks on all games each week and having to give a confidence point for each team you pick ranging from 16 as the high to 1 as the low each week ( when there were 16 games being played ) Every other week when there were byes the range went down. Well after all said and done the top 13 places were rewarded with cash prizes.........

I was eliminated very early in suicide round 1. But I bounced back very nicely in the picks pool and ended up finishing 5th overall for a payout of $450.00.... The 2nd suicide pool is still on going and I am happy to say I am still alive in that one right now with 8 other people. We were all tied after last week. The total prize for this round is $1200.00 we could have agreed to split it and walk away with another $150.00 each but everyone decided to let it go into a tie breaker format that now includes the playoffs. Everyone has to submit their picks to the 2 owners of the site before Friday for this weekends Wild Card games. I have already put mine in to them like I told you earlier . Whoever comes up with the most correct picks will move onto next weeks divisional games unless a mutual agreement is made among all to then split the final prize. Wish me luck guys

Well guys another college football season came to an end last night with one of the greatest games I can remember seeing. Sorry CHIT for your when they went up 24-14 I thought the game was over but that 4th quarter that Clemson put up was one for the ages against that defense. I truly believe that Clemson just flat out ran down that BAMA defense ( 99 total offensive plays for Clemson ) But all that said and done if Alabama had one more shot they probably would have scored themselves. Just an incredible football game overall and a fitting end to a great season.

Both QB's are on fire right now , this game has the makings of another high scoring Super Bowl like the 1995, San Francisco 49ers vs San Diego Chargers game where they put up 75 total points .........

Really blew my picks! HaHa! Of course, my Steelers pick was made with my heart, not my head. But at least I thought they would compete. You would have thought Kevin Butler, and Mike Tomlin for that matter, never coached defense before. Brady never had such open receivers. But the coaches, stupidly and stubbornly, stuck with the soft zone. On offense, Todd Haley had a terrible day calling plays. Only targeting Brown seven times, come on man! And worst call ever was 1st and goal at the half yard line, you don't at least try one sneak with your 6' 5' 250lb QB. mind-boggling. Not saying the Steelers would have won, but it sucks when the coaches don't even give your team a chance.

Besides my disappointed rant, CONGRATS JOS! What the Patriots have done since 2001 is historical and amazing. Tom Brady is the Greatest QB of All Time. Period. And even before he made Tomlin look like a Pee Wee football coach on Sunday, Bill Belichick should be the starting point of any discussion of Greatest coaches of all time.

Hey SPORTS , my heart , brain and all the facts/stats say PATS win it ....but my gut says FALCONS win it ....so i'm still thinking it out

Hey Guys I think you both know where my pick is going I will make my prediction and score no later then Saturday. Still trying to get a few last minute facts and stats in order in my brain.

Okay Guys I got all my last minute stats and facts in order and here comes my projected pick. Atlanta ranks almost last in defense against the pass and has really no pass rush that can get to Tom Brady unless they want to blitz ( which Brady has eaten up over his career ) They also will be starting six players on defense which 4 are rookies and 2 are just in their  2nd year. Atlanta`s defensive line is undersized ( but quick ) I think as good as Tom Brady is the come out and try to smash the  Falcons right in the mouth with a heavy dose of a running game to break down the smaller defensive line and that will lead to more chances for Brady to shred a young secondary. Also if the can get that ground game going it keeps Matt Ryan and that Falcons offense on the sideline.In the end I truly believe that the wear down the Falcons defense and win the game 42-27... Hope you guys have a great time watching the game. I am still trying to figure out my game menu for Sunday. Cook for myself or order out and let someone do the cooking for me. Only thing I know for certain is I will have the Drink Cart fully stocked and be reclining nice and easy in my chair in my den with no one to hear me cheer or scream. I will be home alone because wife has to stay overnight at her Moms for a early doctor`s appointment on Monday. Oh and yes I have taken a vacation day my self from work on Monday to recover Win or Lose. Either way I know I will still be

OK guy's i'm tempted to just watch the game with no pick , for this reason...... no matter which team i pick ,( both of which are on fire right now)... i will be picking against some of my most favorite (ex) Alabama players , but i guess i will flip a coin here ....everything says PATS win this something like 38-31, but my gut is saying FALCONS 38- PATS 34.
I hate to pick either way .

Steve Sarkisian officially accepted the Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator position on Tuesday, shocking everyone other than maybe the coaching staff in Tuscaloosa:
“We appreciate all Coach Sarkisian did for our program during his time here. He is an outstanding coach, and we wish him the best in his new role as Atlanta’s offensive coordinator. As always, when we have an opening on our staff, we will use it as an opportunity to go out and hire the best coach available.

Nick Saban took his time finding his new offensive coordinator at Alabama.

Brian Daboll will be Saban's third coordinator in three months.

On Monday -- nearly two weeks after Steve Sarkisian surprised everyone by becoming the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons -- Saban announced that Daboll, the former New England Patriots assistant, will be Bama's OC.

Daboll, 41, has an interesting resume, replete with five Super Bowl wins.

Yes guys it is that time of the year again to get the PIGSKIN ready to fly once again. Just got back today from taking the 6 year old grandson to his first training camp experience with the up here in Foxboro,Massachusetts. Only the 3rd day of camp and first one in full pads and there were 20,000 people there by reports from local media. Also had the honor of attending the Patriots Hall of Fame induction for former defensive back Raymond Clayborn ( 1977-1989 ) he along with Mike Haynes have been known to be one of the greatest defensive backfields in NFL history. Clayborn came to the Patriots as the #16 pick in the 1977 NFL draft one year after what could have been the Patriots first Super Bowl win in 1976 if not for the in-famous roughing the passer call on Ray ( Sugar Bear ) Hamilton against Oakland Raider QB Ken Stabler in the Divisional round playoff game by referee Ben Drieth. New England surely would have beaten the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI just as the Raiders went on to do. History shows that the Patriots were the only team in 1976 to beat the Raiders by destroying them 48-17. It is to this day believed ( not only here in New England ) but throughout football that Oakland Raider owner Al Davis had the Head official in his back pocket as payback for that one and only loss his team had that season. Google search 1976 NFL season/post season and all the evidence is right there as to what took place during that playoff game. Now lets back to the new
